Multi track digital recording:

Whether you're a singer/songwriter, punk band, jazz combo, rapper, instrumentalist or any combination of the above - we can accomodate you. We can record up to 16 tracks simultaneously through the MOTU 2408/1224 interface yet the actual track count is virtually unlimited. You can record MIDI parts as well, choosing from our wide selection of sounds including some of the best grand piano samples available as well as amazing Hammond b3 sounds from Native Instruments B4.  And for you synth fanatics we have the Korg Legacy Collection and the Native Instruments Komplete 5 collection which includes Massive, Absynth, FM8, Reaktor, Pro 53 and more.

Mastering:

Put the finishing touches on your mix and get it sounding crisp and clear and ready for pressing. Our mastering software is Bias Peak.

Full production:

We can help you build your song from scratch. This can include programming drum parts, help put chords behind a melody, working with you to come up with parts. Either we can record and play all the parts in house or if you need specific live parts, we can recommend excellent, professional players.

Music Transcription:

Professional charts and leadsheets. Whether you need your songs written out for publication purposes or to hand out to musicians on a gig. We use Motu Digital Performer as our notation software and can print basic melody/lyrics/chord symbols as well as separate parts for multiple instruments. Excellent results

-Transfer Vinyl or cassette to CD

-Custom Karaoke - We can create custom instrumental tracks of most songs. We can make it sound like the original or we can make it fit your needs. Perhaps a different key, a bit slower, an extra chorus at the end? Tell us what you want.

-Sound design for theatrical production- Putting together cues, sound effects and music for live performances

-Voice-over . Anything where spoken word is required, either on it's own or with music under it. Examples include radio commercials, audition clips, meditation tapes or a DJ introducing tracks on a mixtape.

-Musical assistance available. Those of us here at Earthtone have alot of experience and know lots of top-notch players so whether you need a guitarist, a sax player or a backup vocalist to make that track shine or just need help coming up with harmony parts, we're here to assist.

We do 24-bit hard disk recording on a PowerMac G5 using Cubase 5. Mastering is done in Bias Peak. We have a full range of synths and sounds at our disposal.
Soundcard is MOTU 2408 mk2 with 1224 expansion (16 simultanious inputs)
